Vienna Ball Highlight Nr. 2: "Ball der Offiziere"

English:
The Military or Officers Ball in Vienna is also something very special!

None of the great Viennese Balls is comparable to any other one.

For confectioners ball (see previous post) people go for the great art of pastry chef to be admired in live performances in show kitchens and to take one of these gorgeous cakes home, and - of course - to dance. 

But on the officer's ball people go i.a. for the great show! Every year a really great performance! 

And to DANCE! 

And because of the colorful uniforms.

Zum Zuckerbäckerball (siehe vorheriges Post) geht man um die große Kunst der Konditormeister u.a. auch in Schauküchen bewundern zu können, um herrliche Torten mit nach Hause zu nehmen, und um zu tanzen.
Aber auf den Offiziersball geht mann wegen der großartigen Show! Jedes Jahr eine Sensation.
und um zu TANZEN!
Und wegen der farbenprächtigen Uniformen.

Vienna Ball Highlight Nr 1: Zuckerbäckerball 2014

Each of the great Viennese balls is something very special!
None of them is comparable to the other one.
The ball which shows every year of the great skills of the pastry chefs is the "sugar baker ball" in the Hofburg.

Jeder der großen Wiener Bälle ist etwas ganz Besonderes!
Keiner von ihnen ist mit einem anderen vergleichbar.
Der Ball welcher das Handwerk der großen Konditormeister jedes Jahr auf ein Neues zur Schau stellt ist der Zuckerbäckerball in der Wiener Hofburg.
