Peacemaker Barenboim "on sale" ! And the Magic of the Universe!

To kick off the "anniversary" year of the outbreak of World War I, the great Maestro Daniel Barenboim conducted the New Year's Concert of the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra. The DVD of this brilliant concert is now available. Yesterday I saw a special reflection in the window display of a music shop. I liked ist so much, that I took a photo and I now post this photo for you . See the independent magic of the universe : look at his solar plexus (Celiac plexus) - what a coincidence ;-)

Why do I call Daniel Barenboim a peacemaker? I quote from Wikipedia:

"In 1999, Barenboim and Palestinian-American intellectual Edward Said jointly founded the West-Eastern Divan orchestra. It is an initiative to bring together, every summer, a group of young classical musicians from Israel, the Palestinian territories and Arab countries to promote mutual reflection and understanding. Barenboim and Said were recipients of the 2002 Prince of Asturias Awards for their work in "improving understanding between nations."

Zum Auftakt des Gedenkjahres zum Ausbruchs des Ersten Weltkrieges dirigierte der großartige Maestro Daniel Barenboim vor wenigen Tagen das Neujahrskonzert der Wiener Philharmoniker. Die DVD zu diesem witzigen und genialen Konzert ist jetzt erhältlich. Mir hat gestern das ganz besondere Spannungsfeld in der Auslage so gut gefallen, dass ich euch davon ein Foto poste. Interessant auch die eigenständige Magie des Universums: schaut mal auf seinen Plexus solaris (Sonnengflecht) - so ein Zufall ;-)

Warum ich Daniel Barenboim als Friedensstifter bezeichne? Hierzu ein Zitat aus Wikipedia:

"Zusammen mit dem palästinensischen Literaturwissenschaftler Edward Said gründete er 1999 das West-Eastern Divan Orchestra. Barenboim engagiert sich für eine Annäherung der verfeindeten Volksgruppen im Nahostkonflikt. Das Orchester setzt sich aus jungen Musikern aus Israel, den palästinensischen Autonomiegebieten, Libanon, Ägypten, Syrien, Jordanien und Spanien zusammen. Im August 2005 spielte das Orchester ein vielbeachtetes Konzert in Ramallah, das in vielen Ländern live im Fernsehen übertragen wurde."
